Create Connect Jewelry Studio opened in Madison Wisconsin in 2016 and was modeled for a future franchise.
It took over 7 years to invent, test, and perfect the Create Connect Jewelry DIY jewelry-making methods for all ages. There is nothing like it anywhere else!
A creative community space where you discover and share your creativity! The franchise model was a success! Many customers would travel a great distance to visit the studio. Customers thought it already was a franchise - perfection.
I closed my studio at the end of my lease anticipating a long-distance move that took me to Florida in 2019. The plan was to relaunch as Create Connect Studio (the name I had planned from the start and a little more open to other DIY) in Florida until COVID crushed plans. In my Create Connect Jewelry Studio, only DIY jewelry projects were available. It was enough, but now I realize the huge increase in people who want a DIY experience after COVID and have many other featured projects now as you can see from my photos and web pages.
DIY franchsies are some of the fastest growing franchises in the country! Over the years I have received a lot of interest from people who want to open a Create Connect Studio. I was not able to set up a franchise yet and had to turn them away. I also had an offer to provide another DIY franchise my products so they could add them to their 80 plus stores, but I simply did not have the capital to produce that much inventory or the resources to support them at that time.
Here I am in 2024, a move back up north to be closer to children.
I am 64 and have diagnosed with breast cancer (I will be OK!)
With that in mind I have made the decision to get Create Connect Jewelry of the shelf and into more capable hands to see it out - 7 years and a boatload of money has brought it to reality.
My thoughts right now are:
1. Find a local partner to re-launch a store, and franchise or open other locations.
2. Find a buyer for my business who can take it to the next level and franchise, or simply open a few of their own locations. All the work has been done!
