"And the seasons, they go round and round
And the painted ponies go up and down
We're captive on the carousel of time
We can't return, we can only look
Behind, from where we came
And go round and round and round, in the circle game" - Joni Mitchell
Amy has been an entrepreneur for over 40 years. Her first company was "Rushwear". The first company of its kind. She supplied custom Sorority recruitment apparel for Rush to thousands of sorority chapters across the country.
In the mid 90's a "No Frills" rush was declared and the girls could not order matching clothing anymore. Imagine her surprise 25 years later when she saw a company called "Frill" on Shark tank in 2017. (Which prompted her to audition for Create Connect Jewelry!
Amy was not not the type of person seeking fame, and Create Connect Jewelry had her as famous as she would ever want to be with the news and media features. Shark tank? Why not try. Amy spent a lot of money and time getting CC Studio off the ground. So Amy went through two rounds with Shark Tank and was cut to a darling duo in their teens seeking help licensing their product. They were cut on the show.
After Rushwear, Amy owned a custom clothing company specializing in wedding apparel and also "Martha Lee Originals" - a custom clothing company for girls. Amy later invented "Stitch-A-Blouse" and "Stitch-a Jumper" for needlework enthusiasts. Over the years her businesses were featured in major magazines and media, also winning her many awards.
Amy accidentally got into jewelry in 2000 right after her youngest was born. She wanted to help her sister start her own business. She was working as a small business consultant at the time helped her open the "Italian Charm Store" at the mall. Amy and her sister experienced supply issues which prompted Amy to seek out her own manufacturers and start her own jewelry lines. For 20 years Amy sold her lines to stores and customers all over the world.
For many years Amy followed all the latest trends and produced her own lines that were sold to stores and direct on websites she designed. By then she was a seasoned website designer, small business consultant and excelled at graphic arts skills. Amy has always had a passion for jewelry, but her vision was to empower women to create their own jewelry. Jewelry that would reflect their individual style - AND be simple enough to make for EVERYONE. Sucess! A Franchise model was tested and perfected! Presently Amy is selling her kits along with other jewelry she has created. Her sales on Etsy have been over 17,000 since she started.
